The Workshop books were again part of this very special day on February 5 2017. Unfortunately the new series (Rapide) wasn't printed in time to be part of the day but the 4 Rapide books were sent up shortly after the Open Day and are also on display. Fabulous day on feb 7 at the Sydney String Centre 2016 Teacher Open Day talking to string teachers about my Workshop books for beginner string players. I was invited to speak at the Open Day, together with Hans-Helmut Suckau (Director at Music Knowledge PTY LTD) re Editions and Standard Publications and David Glanville (head luthier of Sydney Strings). David's talk was on how to identify and prevent problems that may be occurring with student's instruments and why the regular servicing of instruments can prevent issues. Hans' detailed discussion was on different editions, rare or standard. The Glanvilles (owners of Sydney Strings) together with their staff, made the day a most memorable experience. It was great to support the Sounds Great Conference in Melbourne. I produced some A4 satchel inserts (flyers) for the event and was invited to attend the Pre-conference reception (Wednesday 15 July - ANZ Pavilion Arts Centre). It was thoroughly enjoyable and I had some great conversations with others supporting the Conference.
It was great being part of Frets n Notes 'Wine and Choose String Feature' during July 2015. On July 8, 11 and 18 I was at 42 Cotham Road Kew VIC. to talk to string teachers about my String Learning Method Workshop Books, Posters and Sticker Charts. Jeffrey Coster's organisation was fabulous. Thank you Jeffrey it was a wonderful experience and I greatly value your support.
