Such a lovely evening that Karen Kyriakou organised on behalf of Austa Vic. for May 10 2021. Karen asked Charlie McCarthy and myself to present our books via Zoom invite and talk about our approaches, the learning involved, strengths and features for the 'Show & Talent' series. Karen was the most wonderful host and guided our presentations seamlessly. Charlie's book about improvisation techniques was fabulous. Fairy's Glitter (Mavis Theme) for Cello Ensemble

Having picked up my latest Cello Ensemble arrangement late last week, it is now available for purchase. Posted to the National Library of Australia as a Legal Deposit today along with Greensleeves, The Londonderry Air & The Rakes of Kildare plus 3 of the Rapide Workshop books (violin, viola and cello), I'm feeling really pleased that it's all worked out. Copies will also be available at selected retail outlets soon : )

Ringwood Eisteddfod String Section June 9-11 2017

This year was my first sponsorship. To support the Ringwood Eisteddfod (section 13) was a great pleasure and wonderful connection to what my mother and grandmother managed to achieve. They started the Eisteddfod in 1954 and my mother, Ruth Hawkins, has been the Patron for many years. She has worked tirelessly to ensure the success of the Eisteddfod and to create many opportunties for young performers. My sponsored section (13) was open to students currently studying Grades 1 or 2 AMEB or equivalent. The beginner years are so important, and since my books are for beginner string students, it seemed the ideal section to support. Congratulations to Ena Kelly (1st place), Niamh Clarke (2nd place) and Sayuri Hiaki-Walker who came third....
